@BootsUK you seriously need to do something about the security guard in your Birmingham New Street station!! I’ve just had somewhat of a run in with him and to say I’m unhappy is a bit of an understatement!!!!
@arrivamidlandsE another day, another no show of the 29A,and no buses at all through Markfield for another hour. Having to use the last of my money for a taxi. There’s a couple at the bus stop going for a hospital appointment- how do you suggest they get there? Service is lousy!
@KacperKJP@LuiAltt I had something similar once. Was rejected for a job because the interviewer believed the only reliable way to get to work was by car.I lived about 5 minutes away on foot. He said ‘what happens when it’s snowing?’ I replied ‘cars can fail in snow. My 2 legs can still get through’
@MikeSouthWestUK I get mine free because of lifelong serious complications from cancer treatment which left me permanently disabled. If you would like these effects (although as you’re a man you wouldn’t get my particular cancer) in return for free prescriptions you are most welcome to them!!!
@dilemma1979 I read an account from a passenger on the train who had been standing. He wasn’t injured. He said that the vast majority of those injured had been seated. This was one of the brand new Aurora trains. Just makes me question whether they’re actually safe.
@wibblywobbly99@mccafferty2 I’m guessing given the fact that she mentions elsewhere she’s an OAP, that the only benefit she’s claiming is State Pension. Which last time I checked wasn’t affected by how disabled you are or aren’t…
@Briana432130275@ostschlampe@jan_murray I guess we’re lucky. My neighbour and his brother who was visiting him at the time were brilliant when our garage door broke.
@aquaticsmum64 Not just if you need insulin-if you’re on any type of diabetes medication. I’m on Mounjaro for diabetes alone and husband on Metformin and we both get free prescriptions
@squall_loire Yep! I went to a menopause event where the social prescriber went on excitedly about what she could do to help.I asked her what she could do to help me (early 40’s, surgical menopause from cancer at 31) she looked blank and said ‘oh sorry I can’t help you, you’re too young’🙄
@premierinn is it normal for your hotels to completely ignore the needs of wheelchair users when a fire alarm goes off and then for your ‘Guest Relations’ to say oh well don’t worry, it won’t happen again? Isn’t there health and safety at play here?!
@arrivamidlandsE thanks so much for cancelling my bus 🙄when there’s only one an hour that’s even worse. No, I can’t wait for the next one as I have an appointment at 11 and I’ve had to pay out for a taxi. This service gets worse and worse!
@CrossCountryUK the 1807 Not-Cdf feels distinctly unsafe. Three wheelchairs and a huge pram, two of which are blocking the vestibule and a load of drunken Bristol Rovers fans. This is a three coach train why?!
@drsanjoykumar I began my training as a mental health nurse at Nottingham University in 2005 and even back then a lot of what you’re saying has not changed. It sounded extremely familiar.
@joeyjojojunior_@Jenny_1884 Speak to your GP as a matter of urgency. They should give you a form to fill in and then they just need to confirm that you have a cancer diagnosis and you will get a 5 year exemption cert. I had one when I had cancer- I still have one for T2 diabetes.
@CrossCountryUK Also I’ve literally just had the train manager or whatever you call them step over me! No offer of help to find a seat or ask if I’m okay!!! Formal complaint forthcoming
@CrossCountryUK sat on the floor between carriages. 1114 BHM-PNZ. Literally all seats reserved. I’m on crutches and I’ve had people push past me because their coffee is more important than my safety! Also a rude man whose bag was more important than letting me sit down.
@CrossCountryUK Thanks, but it’s not good enough. Every time either I or my wheelchair user friend have travelled with you the lack of disability provision by yourselves is absolutely shocking. My back is incredibly painful having to sit on a hard floor. @Tanni_GT you might be interested in this
