Normally we mark Veterans Day with ceremonies and parades and celebrations. But it’s 2020 and everything’s different. Even if we're not marching down Main St to salute our veterans doesn't mean we can't celebrate those that have answered the call to serve in our nation.

In the 245 years our nation millions have answered the call to duty. They've defended our lives and our ideals at home and abroad, fighting in the name of freedom. Many gave their lives, and many more came home with wounds visible and hidden. To all of them we owe our gratitude.

The act of voting is one of the most powerful things we can do. It is our constitutional right and patriotic duty. Together we can all make a difference.

Today’s the day! This year has been more insane than usual, but Election Day is one of those positive days where each of us gets to have an impact.

Columbus native, Medal of Honor recipient and 1992 Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Honoree Ron Rosser has passed away at the age of 90. Rosser was awarded the MOH for subduing 13 enemy soldiers while under heavy fire from a Chinese machine gun nest during the Korean War. #Gratitude

Happy Independence Day! Have a safe and happy July 4th.

In January 1991, American patriotism ran high during the Gulf War. Whitney Houston sang before the Super Bowl, delivering a breathtaking performance of The Star-Spangled Banner that reverberated through the American psyche.

Houston and Clayton refused to back down, and in the end put on one of the most dazzling performances of The Star-Spangled Banner in history. No giant field-spanning flags, no fireworks, no guitars or light shows or gimmicks. Just a singer, an orchestra, and a captivated nation.

This Memorial Day is the most unusual in memory. There are no ceremonies or parades.

It’s fitting for this somber day to be subdued so we may honor the brave men and women that gave their lives for us. Their sacrifice makes the concessions we make these days seem insignificant.

But the music won’t stop! Music is the diversion, solace, and inspiration we all need right now. We’re working to continue to entertain and inspire, all in the safety of your home. Someday soon we'll get to come together and share in the joy of music.

Due to the continuing coronavirus health crisis, it is with profound sadness that we have to cancel our 2020 summer concert series. The Ohio National Guard's mission is to support and defend the citizens of Ohio, and sadly these days that means keeping our distance.

Our performances are meant to celebrate music and our great nation, but we cannot ask you to risk your personal safety for the sake of entertainment. We deeply wish we could play for you this summer, and we look forward to the day that it will be safe to do so again.
