For instance, one could imagine dividing the city in two or three large wards, and electing a number of councillors from each using some more proportional system like STV. The result would take some learning, but arguably would be simpler for voters than the current system.

Very excited to see @StevenDelDuca's promise to allow municipalities to use ranked ballots for municipal elections. But his proposal to use ranked ballots for provincial elections is misguided, half-baked & misinformed. I strongly urge @ontario_liberal to re-consider this move.

Canada just had another #wrongwinner election. Conservatives got more votes, but fewer seats.

The BQ *won* more seats than the NDP, from less than *half* the votes.

The PPC got zero seats despite 812k+ votes.

Canada needs proportional representation.
