I have heard @narendramodi calling @RahulGandhi a "hybrid" calf after mocking Sonia Gandhi as an imported Jersey Cow.
Also, when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he routinely scoffed Muslims with a Tum Paanch, Tumhare Pacchis jibe.
In the past, have also heard him say,his exact words: "me 20 loko no puchyu koi Soniyaben ne clerk ni nokri no aape ane Rahul patawala ni. Aaawa loko ne aapne appdo desh apaay? (asked 20 people. Nobody wanted to make Soniaben even a clerk and Rahul a peon; can we entrust our country to such (unqualified) people?).
Those currently demonising "Cockroaches" or Congress or others; where were you during the "Election Commissioner James Lyngdoh meets Sonia Gandhi in Church or when @ShashiTharoor's 50 crore girl friend and other derogatory remarks were made? Or recently when @girirajsinghbjp put up images of a young woman and her son with Rahul Gandhi?
For some people, whatever #BJP does is nationalism and when others do it, it is character assassination!

Yes, some students used profane language. That deserves criticism.

But reducing an entire movement to its worst slogans, after weeks of branding its participants “anti-national, urban Naxals, anarchists and foreign-funded”, is less about civility and more about avoiding the uncomfortable questions that gave rise to these protests.

Respect is a two-way street.

The Prime Minister made a reel saying he “forgives” the students for their actions and mistakes.

Forgives them for what? For asking for their rights? For demanding fairness?

A true leader would apologize to the students for allowing the police to beat them-not expect an apology from them.

That is leadership. That is democracy.
