We receive a lot of love, and I am incredibly grateful to be a part of peopleβs journeys. It gives my life meaning, and I genuinely enjoy doing it.
What strategies would you recommend for increasing our exposure?
I built Ravel because I wanted to use Graphify - but I wanted a different deployment and security model.
Graphify is a powerful local-first project, but its CLI depends on Python 3.10+, uv/pipx, Tree-sitter packages, NetworkX, NumPy, and a fairly large dependency tree.
That isnβt inherently unsafe. I simply wanted something easier to ship, audit, and run on sensitive repositories:
one native Go binary.
Ravel turns a repository into a local, queryable knowledge graph so developers and coding agents can understand a codebase without repeatedly scanning every file.

With Ravel you can:
β’ find entry points and central packages
β’ trace calls, imports, definitions, and references
β’ inspect which files a change may affect
β’ generate a suggested reading order
β’ give an AI agent compact, token-bounded repository context
β’ preview exactly what will be scanned before building anything
The goal isnβt to beat Graphify by having more features.
Graphify aims to be a broad knowledge-graph product.
Ravel focuses on being a small, deterministic, audit-first systems tool with a limited dependency and attack surface - easy to distribute, embed, and run without asking users to configure a language environment.
Download the binary, run:
ravel audit .
ravel build .
ravel dashboard
Then query your repository instead of grepping through it from scratch.

I really hope my apps make you better. Phones/software have become an essential part of our lives, and if you canβt avoid them, at least make them work for you.

the best and easiest way to make valuable thing is to care about the thing you create. simple.
i know all the painful, slightly inconvenient, best and worst use cases just because i build it for myself first, i care.
