Problems exist for one of two reasons:
The human doesn't know how to solve it (lack of information).
The human can’t solve it (lack of resources, time, constraints, resistance etc).
To be honest, it’s usually both.
You still need close relationships, love, a loving relationship, sleep, food, exercise etc.
Without these things your limbic system will wreak havoc on you and mess your focus up.
Exercising judgement is using your brain to decide when to be what.
It’s looking at a situation, circumstance or environment and knowing what is required of you so you can shift into it.
One of the biggest problems I see is people’s strategies.
I’ll say this before I start explaining:
YOU ARE THE STRATEGY.
You see people trade their beliefs. Everyone can be looking at the same chart but see different things. It’s all bias and beliefs.
By trading a strategy you’ve learnt somewhere, it essentially means you’re trading someone else’s beliefs.
Instead switch to confluence trading, you are the strategy, align multiple confluences and form your belief - it is the ONLY way to become profitable.
Don’t blindly follow someone else’s models, understand price. Understand time. Understand why price does what it does 🫡
one of your biggest issues in the market is that you don't truly view yourself as the main character in the video game you're playing. people with actual self-belief are running laps around you. you've unknowingly relegated yourself to an npc in a game meant for you to take ownership. your role models are subconsciously your puppet masters. break out performances are directly tied to breaking out of blindly following and seizing back control of your life
Trading is never mastered, you just slowly increase the odds in your favour over time with experience.
It’s probably obvious, but there’s no such thing as a guaranteed system or a system that comes without losses.
You’re a student of a game that cannot be completed.
You’re a hamster on a wheel full of obstacles that’s running in an infinite loop.
In fact, it’s like playing Temple Run.
You simply learn over time through endless repetition how to manoeuvre the obstacles and create a clearer path for yourself.
This is why you cannot simply do some courses or join a mentorship and immediately be qualified to teach yourself. I find it comical when I see this.
Even for those of us who have found a path to profitability, we’re continually on this journey.
There’s no master of this game.
There’s masters, but me and you are not one of them.
You are a detective hunting for clues.
Many times those clues are false leads and will take you down the wrong path. You cannot expect everything to lead you to a positive outcome.
It’s only once you’ve been betrayed enough by false clues that you subconsciously build the traits to better avoid them in the future.
Everyone wants to rush the process, everyone wants to be the hero, yet so few are actually profitable when you peel away the social media layers.
Intuition also plays a significant role in trading just like any other expertise. This can only be developed over many years of experience, not by simply reading some textbooks and theoretical historical scenarios.
The markets are always evolving, and you must evolve with them.
What works today may not work tomorrow.
Most are trying to rush a process that has no completion, and wonder why it’s not working out.
‘how long does it take to become profitable?’
a flawed question. time is simply a coincidence, the determining factor is how many realisations you’ve had, how many aha moments.
once you realise & account for this you can begin to focus on levers that actually drive you forward.
Only a handful of people, if you’re lucky, will be happy you’re doing better than them, especially financially.
If you started off in the same place as them and only you excelled, don’t expect the love to be genuine.
Jealousy runs deep in this life.
Jealousy doesn’t always come in direct form.
I experience it through subtle remarks, subtle digs, behavioural changes, downplaying visions, and overall negativity.
Not many people out there want the best for you.
If you look at a chart, and you immediately can't discern a bias, then good chance there's nothing there to trade
The best trades are those where you pull up a chart, and its instantly "obvious" where the market is likely to go
