Sorry to my moots for retweeting non-charity related stuff, we have lost sponsors for our kids about this but I genuinely cannot stay silent about what’s happening right now.

Our government is so deeply messed up right now. A senator who has been absent for months, who is facing a warrant for crimes against humanity, is still being protected and defended by people in power instead of being held accountable like any ordinary citizen would be. And now, shots were literally fired inside the Senate hall. Inside a government building. A place that’s supposed to represent law, order, and public service.

Imagine if someone innocent had gotten hurt. Imagine if a staff member, a janitor, a security guard, a journalist, or any employee who was simply there to do their job ended up caught in the middle of that violence.

Every scandal gets buried under another scandal. Meanwhile ordinary people are expected to just keep working, surviving, paying taxes, and pretending this is acceptable.

It's exhausting watching those in power act like they are untouchable while everyone else has to live with the consequences of their actions.

Our government should protect us and not the other way around. 🥲🙏
