In case you missed it - here is the @BritishBakeOff extra slice clip - thoughts? 🤔
I find it especially frustrating when a programme isn’t even live & was prerecorded as it could have been stopped from being aired.
Hope we can get this sorted 🙏

@beckyexcell@QuadrilleFood@TheHappyFoodie@Coeliac_UK Our DD very excited to receive this. BTW camping was a dream with the air fryer when you have a child with CD, more things to try now. Thank you Becky, you continue to make her feel valued whilst she navigates her condition. 🥰
Gluten free & Coeliac Disease on TV 🧡 Did you watch it? What did you think?
It was amazing to hear from Frankie (who has coeliac disease), Nicola (Frankie’s mum) and also Professor David Sanders, a gastroenterologist and Chair of the @Coeliac_UK Health Advisory Council. A fabulous combination of people, able to provide both real life, lived experience and the correct medical information and advice. Thank you @thismorning for making sure this happened, it was so important and hopefully will make a difference in many different ways to many different people.
In my mind it helped to:
🔸 Raise awareness of what coeliac disease is, what symptoms to look out for (there are more than you might think) and that you should NOT remove gluten from your diet until you have been tested for Coeliac Disease (I hear from thousands of people who have done this either because they thought it was best OR worse still, their doctor recommended them to - this is not correct).
It’s so easy to shout, get angry and frustrated when things are misrepresented, misunderstood and spoken about in a dangerous and incorrect way HOWEVER, I find that whilst we are quick to jump on the negatives, we are less quick to show our appreciation when things are done right. Yes, maybe some people might think that it shouldn’t have be spoken about wrongly in the first place (you’re right!) but if it hadn’t of been, we wouldn’t of had this amazing opportunity to raise awareness on TV.
So I’m here to say thank you @thismorning 🙌
If you didn’t get to watch the piece it will be on catchup in full (it was at about 10:56am for about 9 minutes), if you want more information on coeliac disease then head over to the @Coeliac_UK website - the self assessment form is there too & also if you think someone you know might benefit from watching then let them know.
Hopefully having 2 gluten free segments on This Morning within a month is the start of more awareness, more improvements and positive changes for the Coeliac & gluten free community 🫶
@gfreeman2012 LA recently stated they would not amend an EHCP as they are not doing this frequently. This was an annual review ( are birthdays frequent? ). So section F is still primary provision ( y7) which we can’t provid, so amended in the ANNUAL review. What is the point of ARs then?

Very British Problems when having a haircut
1 Insisting the temperature is "fine" as what must be water from a kettle is
poured over your head.
2 Never feeling more tense than when fighting against the pleasant feeling of
the head massage.
3 Showing a photo of you when you were 10 years younger and three stone
lighter and asking, "Can you make me look like this, please?"
4 Accepting a complimentary drink as if you've just been offered £500 in
cash.
5 Being gripped by the sadness of having to assess your own face for ages in the hairdresser's mirror.
6 Rearranging your hands and accidentally looking like you're doing
something devious under the cape.
7 Being thrilled at seeing the back of your head for the first time since your
last haircut.
8 Feeling consumed by guilt as you're encouraged to stand up and cover the
clean floor with bits of hair.
9 Being mystified as to how "what have you done?" somehow leaves your
mouth as "excellent, thank you very much!"
10 Waiting until you're at least 50 strides away from the building until you
completely restyle your head in a coffee-shop window.

I'd like to do my thing of gifting a class/teacher a full free class set of whatever their novel is when they get back to school.
So what is your first class novel? Which year? Why? I'll pick someone and send them your way so your year gets off to a ripper.
RTs appreciated.
@linziehunter Lots of Mental Health resource bases in schools would love them to give to children who are feeling overwhelmed with school, home life and the world. My school would certainly appreciate them.
@Coeliac_UK#hayfestival Hay on Wye book festival was fantastic for Coeliac friendly food. Anxious parent of a newly diagnosed child I was so relieved to see so many food stalls providing GF and being super Coeliac friendly. 📚
