CVS deals w/way more ePrescribing than paper prescriptions. But we still have some physicians that prefer paper scripts still #hsop2013

@13au0110 agreed!! It Would def provide an extensive background an help assure accuracy and increased quality of life later on... #hsop2013

Wondering if physicians/hospitals will meet 2014 goal of adopting HIT to fix healthcare. doubt it, but something to look out for #hsop2013

Working at CVS, using a database To track pt's meds between all CVS locations is super helpful for both patient and pharmacist. #hsop2013

[13au0105 @13au0105]

EMR data is great way to track previous visits @ hospitals ect and helps keep mistakes of (meds/allergies/surg.) to a minimum #hsop2013

Communication and documentation are key in the pharmacy. If you don't document it didnt happen. EMR, eMAR, CMV... Gotta have it! #hsop2013

[13au0105 @13au0105]

@13au0070 that is a great point about tracking contamination issues concerning the transportation of drugs. #GoodCall #hsop2013

I don't think I'm ready for the RFID chip. Just extremely unsure about it. I guess it could potentially be helpful in many ways... #hsop2013

[13au0105 @13au0105]

@13au0121 I experienced this too! What's the point in having the robot to lessen the workload I you end up recounting in the end? #hsop2013

[13au0105 @13au0105]

RIVA Would be extremely beneficial in the IV compounding industry for accuracy aspects and I agree it decrease human error. #hsop2013

[13au0105 @13au0105]

I Would really worry though that the IV robot would make a mistake that I wouldn't catch since I Wouldn't be doing it step by step #hsop2013

[13au0105 @13au0105]

I have never actually seen a robot for IV compounding but it could really help with hazardous materials and decrease contamination #hsop2013

[13au0105 @13au0105]

While I agree robots tend to lessen the workload, as a pharmacist I would become OCD about checking behind the robot. #hsop2013 #TrustIssues

[13au0105 @13au0105]

@13au0033 I agree! I have been on shift when the robot malfunctioned and it was chaos for a couple of hours! #hsop2013
