@levasssp@RedWingDiehards I’m born and raised in Michigan and moved back as well. The mud sucks, but personally I got tired of the constant negative temps on a daily basis. People thinking Michigan winters are cold don’t know what cold actually is.
@levasssp@RedWingDiehards I lived in Saint Paul from 2012-2015 and I’d much rather take a cloudy 25-35 degree Michigan winter day over a sunny 0 degree Minnesota winter day. Loved the area, but Minnesota winters are much more brutal than SE Michigan.
@VMI1538184@NHLRumourReport They’re already playing the majority of the prospects. Even if MBN/Danielson and another prospect is up full time next year, you still need another top line winger as well as another top 6 center.
@TheSleeve_@DanP07248394@BrianFisherLORW EP40 makes sense if he can rejuvenate his career. The gamble outside the contract, is that he also brings what we’re trying to move out with how mentally weak he seems to be.
@DanP07248394@TheSleeve_@BrianFisherLORW It’s easier said than done. They need another top 6 center, but one also has to be available to be had. Top line LW is another, but again, who is available?
@ericksheldon40@JimCosta_@GetRichWitRich To be fair, if the core is going to get a shakeup, Raymond is the likely piece going out if a significant piece is coming back. Seider isn’t going anywhere and Cat is your only elite scorer.
Quinn Hughes on his “mentor” Dylan Larkin:
“Larks has been like a big brother to me… I think I met him at a frat party when I was a freshman.
But he’s awesome… and I just follow from what a big heart Larks has. He’s always told me to pay it forward and I think that’s a great message.”

@TheSleeve_@ANWTravel101@BradKrysko Both Tkachuk brothers, Quinn Hughes and JT Miller have been quoted. I’m up in the air on my opinion of Larkin in the future, but he’s 100% respected as a leader. Clearly there’s something wrong in the locker room though, and it’s hard not to point the finger in his direction.
@BeyondXGoals@LO_RedWings It’s definitely SY’s goal, but I don’t feel that any of the current prospects will develop into elite talent. Bear may have a slim chance, but I still feel SY slaps the untradeable tag on prospects that other teams don’t necessarily value as much as him.
@By_Odins_Beard_@LO_RedWings Yet I don’t believe they’d be interested in anything we have prospect wise to make the deal work. Kasper and Danielson don’t even project to be as good as Thomas, and they had zero reason to trade him unless they felt they come out on top value wise.
@BeyondXGoals@LO_RedWings I’m not convinced many teams have interest in giving up top 6 talent for guys like Kasper/Danielson. I think SY tends to overvalue his prospects similar to the fanbase. Bear may be the only prospect we have that could get us a true difference maker in the top 6.
@DennisMcSweet@LGRWProspects Why is 3 goalies under 23 a problem when you don’t even know who will pan out? Better off with 3 shots at a good one than fewer chances. Also, Cossa isn’t looking so hot right now, so trading Augustine is anything but smart.
@Vazqii1@Niftyowl1@DetroitRedWings He was playing less than 3rd pairing minutes at like 9 a night. It wasn’t going to matter what pair he was on right now. His offensive potential is there, but he needs to get stronger and make adjustments defensively.
@JPhoenix7@tim_c_23 He was arguably the best defenseman in GR when he came over last year. I think he’ll fit in solidly on the 3rd pair at some point in Detroit as a physical shutdown guy.
@Steinner92@hockeymaniac88@OctopusThrower_ We don’t know that he’s too good for the AHL when he hasn’t even played a regular season game there. He needs adjustment time in the Dzone. The fact he’s playing 9 minutes a game and getting benched tells you he’s absolutely not NHL ready.
@Steinner92@hockeymaniac88@OctopusThrower_ He’s in way over his head and playing 9 minutes a night isn’t doing his development any favors. If we had a guy like Faulk here all year, ASP would have spent the whole year in GR.
