#Onthisdate in 1902, a law was passed to have the state flag meet specifications of the particular design you see here. Cleveland architect John Eisenmann designed the flag in 1901.

When he opened Clearview Golf Club in 1948, Bill Powell became the first African American in the U.S. to design, build, own and operate a golf course. Open to all, Clearview is in East Canton, OH and was listed on the Nat'l Register of Historic Places in 2001. #BlackHistoryMonth
