Satirical account. If a person thought civilization was about to fall into a new dark age this is what theyโd post. I clearly donโt think that, this is satire.
@FechoLarry@GuyRandomNumber@Tony__Clark And again, this thread is about Alberta needing to control who is allowed access to its system and dumb people who can't renew their ID every 5 years.
@FechoLarry@GuyRandomNumber@Tony__Clark It's a stupid point but you may hold onto it however tightly you want. That's not my business.
Health care in Canada is much worse now than before Covid. You can blame the UCP all you want, but the problems are much larger than just them.
@FechoLarry@GuyRandomNumber@Tony__Clark No, what I'm saying is the public system is broken everywhere yet silly people are still in love with it. For some reason, despite its obvious flaws they get mad at anyone who notices or tries to fix it.
@DannyAlberta77 Oh no, they don't appreciate the intentional all encompassing lack of concern.
Wealth always concentrates in the older generation. Can't be helped.
@FechoLarry@GuyRandomNumber@Tony__Clark That view would have merit if the same problems weren't happening in every single province in Canada. Of course, the same problems are happening everywhere in Canada so your point doesn't have merit and you're being a silly goose. Stop being a goose Larry.
@bruce_arthur You've got it all wrong Bruce. The rebel has simply noticed Canada is no longer good, united, and free. The problem is noticing something is always worse in our new Canada.
@FechoLarry@GuyRandomNumber@Tony__Clark We can decide to collectively lay for our health care here, or not. But deciding everyone can access it is a fool's errand. Your utopian vision is nice but obviously flawed.
@FechoLarry@GuyRandomNumber@Tony__Clark But again, this is about knowing who can access the health care system and whether or not people are capable of renewing a card once every five years.
I don't think government HC advocates are capable of that either. I'll be fine.
@FechoLarry We were broke and couldn't maintain our utilties system and AGT was unable to upgrade to 80s tech.
So instead of burdening the taxpayer, they put the cost on the user. Our current system is fair because we have to pay for what we use rather than hiding costs in our taxes.
@FechoLarry@GuyRandomNumber@Tony__Clark Sure. It was great.
Tell me, why do you think governments shouldn't know who is entitled to access the health care system and why those people can't be responsible for renewing a card every five years?
@cinloou7 It's funny because this conversation is about whether or not the people can be responsible for renewing their access to health care.
I don't think most people are either.
@GuyRandomNumber@Tony__Clark I don't think not trusting the government's performance on health care makes me a wild libertarian. Do you like how your provincial government manages health care?
@FechoLarry@GuyRandomNumber@Tony__Clark You say this but we both know governments are incapable of managing who should have access, yet we think they're capable of being the sole provider of health care? Have you seen the state of this nation's health care systems?
No, I'd much rather have control than those donkeys.
