Young minds are able to understand that no one should touch them in inappropriate ways until they are much older. The thing that ruins their innocence is early sex because they don't know better.

@duiker_lisa @SuzCrimi That's your opinion, that's not what the science or my life experience has shown. There were 8 and 10 year old girls at my school having sex. I watched other girls at 12 years old getting pregnant. I knew better, because I was taught. Young kids aren't stupid.

@SuzCrimi Something to clarify since there has been lots of interesting feedback... I never gave support to this book. My point was that children need to be taught. If parents took the initiative to teach their children about sex early in life, maybe books like this wouldn't be in schools.

@SuzCrimi My dad gave me "the talk" when I was around 6 or 8 years old. I was one of the last girls I know to lose my virginity. Early sex education tends to prevent teenage pregnancy. But it's all in the way it's presented to the child.

@stoneyerk @SuzCrimi Sex is immoral? How do you think the continuation of the human species happens? 🤔 There are countless studies that show the importance of early sex education and how it prevents childhood pregnancy. It helps teenagers become more mature at an earlier age. That's far from immoral
