कुँवर रेवती रमण सिंह ने अखिलेश यादव को उनकी औक़ात दिखा दी है। किसी ने नहीं सोचा था कि ऐसा होगा।

'व्हाइट हाउस' में रहने वाले सामंतवादी अखिलेश यादव जब उनसे मिलने प्रयागराज पहुँचे तो रेवती रमण सिंह ने एक स्टूल मँगाया। उस स्टूल को अखिलेश यादव के सामने रखा गया। फिर कुँवर साहब ने उसीपर पाँव रखा।

औक़ात दिखाए जाने के पीछे भी कारण है। अब चुनाव है तो अखिलेश यादव उनके दरवाजे पर हाजिरी लगा रहे हैं। ये वही अखिलेश यादव हैं जिन्होंने 2024 में कुँवर साहब की जगह राम मंदिर के विरोध में केस लड़ने वाले कपिल सिब्बल को राज्यसभा भेजा था। इसके बाद सिंह परिवार ने समाजवादी पार्टी छोड़ दी थी, जबकि कुँवर रेवती रमण सिंह सपा के सह-संस्थापक रहे हैं।

2024 के लोकसभा चुनाव में अखिलेश यादव को पहली बार औक़ात तब दिखाई जब उन्होंने अपने बेटे को न केवल कांग्रेस का टिकट दिलवाया बल्कि इलाहाबाद लोकसभा क्षेत्र से जिता भी दिया। 42 साल बाद इस सीट पर कांग्रेस जीती।

अखिलेश यादव को याद रखना चाहिए कि जब उनके अब्बा मौलाना मुलायम सिंह यादव की कोई औक़ात नहीं हुआ करती थी तब कुँवर साहब संयुक्त उत्तर प्रदेश में नेता-प्रतिपक्ष हुआ करते थे��� 'जनता दल' के स्तम्भ थे। स्वयं 8 बार विधायक, 2 बार लोकसभा सांसद रहे। मुरली मनोहर जोशी जैसे दिग्गज नेता को हराया। राज्यसभा सांसद बने। बेटे को भी विधायक, मंत्री और सांसद बनाया।

अखिलेश यादव को इस बे'इज़्ज़ती के बाद अब याद करना चाहिए कि कैसे 2 वर्ष पूर्व जब कुँवर रेवती रमण सिंह लखनऊ में अस्पताल में भर्ती थे तब यही अखिलेश यादव उनका हालचाल एक लेने नहीं गए थे। ��्रयागराज गए तो उनसे मिले नहीं। अब चिड़िया चुग गई खेत तो...

Her name was Shubha Shankaranarayan.

She was 21 years old, a law student in Bengaluru. She was in a relationship with Arun Varma, her 19 year old college junior. Her father did not approve and arranged her engagement to someone else.

On November 30, 2003, Shubha got engaged to B.V. Girish, a 27 year old software engineer. His family celebrated. His future seemed set.

Three days later, Shubha called Girish and suggested they spend some time together before the wedding. She proposed dinner and then a stop near HAL Airport to watch planes take off from the viewpoint on Inner Ring Road. He agreed.

While Girish stood looking at the runway, three men attacked him from behind with a motorcycle shock absorber. Shubha stood nearby and screamed at the attackers to stop, pretending to be shocked.

Girish suffered severe head injuries. He died in hospital the next morning.

His family filed a police complaint. At first, investigators found nothing. Girish had no enemies, and suspicion did not fall on Shubha because the engagement had happened just days earlier.

Then police reviewed the engagement video. Shubha appeared unhappy and disinterested throughout. Her expressions did not match someone who had just gotten engaged.

Investigators dug deeper. They discovered that Shubha had made 73 phone calls and exchanged numerous messages with Arun Varma on the day of the murder.

When confronted with the evidence, she confessed.

The murder had been planned even before the engagement. Shubha wanted to be with Arun Varma, so she, Arun, and two hired men planned to kill Girish.

Girish had been engaged for just three days.

In July 2010, all four were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. The Karnataka High Court later upheld the verdict. In 2025, the Supreme Court also upheld all four life sentences.

The Supreme Court observed:
"Shubha chose a tragic and unacceptable route to address her personal issues, which led to the loss of a young and innocent life."

He went to watch planes take off with his fiancee.

He never came home.

एक तरफ़ प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी हैं जिन्होंने तमिलनाडु के 'सेंगोल' को देश की संसद में स्थापित किया और OBC समाज से आने वाले 'अधीनम' पुरोहितों ने ये कार्यक्रम संपन्न कराया। वहीं दूसरी तरफ़ द्रविड़ राजनीति है जिसने अपने ही क्षेत्र की संस्कृति को नकार दिया। एक तरफ़ काशी की नगरी है जहाँ 'तमिल संगमम' होता है, जहाँ खुलकर तमिल लोगों का स्वागत किया जाता है। दूसरी तरफ़ उदयनिधि स्टालिन हैं जो कहते हैं कि सनातन लोगों को अलग-थलग कर रहा है। वो सनातन ही था जिसके कारण तमिलनाडु में गंगाजल ले जाकर राजेंद्र चोल ने गंगैकोण्ड चोलपुरम को स्थापित किया। जोड़ने का इससे बेहतर उदाहरण क्या हो सकता है?

अपनी ही संस्कृति को भूलकर आज द्रविड़ नेता भी ख़ुश हैं और तमिलनाडु की जनता भी। फ़िल्मी हस्तियों व नेताओं पर के अंधविश्वासी पूजन की बजाय उन्हें अपनी संस्कृति के रक्षण को लेकर भी ऐसा ही क्रेज़ दिखाना चहिए।
