Yesterday was a thought-provoking fay for us @16DaysEdinburgh
The photo exhibition shared by @PoliceScotland was powerful and narrated a story of the evolving times that give us hope & inspiration to continue doing what we have been in supporting the women’s movement in Scotland
The @PoliceScotland team joined us yesterday and shared some incredible, lived experiences of being female police members and how the service has also evolved and progressed over the last 3 decades for good, alongside focusing on gender equality and women’s rights in Scotland
It’s exactly the point we were raising today at the @16DaysEdinburgh. The abuse affecting ethnic minorities has intersectional grounds and system continuously fails to support them due to the lack of recognition of their needs as well as representation.
Joanna shared in detail about the essence of the @ZTScotland photography exhibition, “Violence Unseen”, at the event today that explores forms of violence against women that are still misunderstood, hidden and unacknowledged by the mainstream society.

advocate for equality.” - @magdaczar
Our next speaker @magdaczar CEO @FeniksCentre is a true warrior of women’s rights, who represents & voices the concerns of minorities from central & Eastern European groups, in particular the Polish community in Scotland.

Experiences of violence against women and girls can have a significant impact on women's mental health and can cause long-term trauma. A trauma-informed approach can support recovery for women and girls impacted by VAWG. #16Days#WhatNext
