It's official: Perifractic's mission to buy Commodore Computers succeeded! Mind-blowing! After decades in limbo, Commodore has a new owner!
I personally tried for years without success to buy Commodore, or at least convince wealthy business men to buy it, but I failed everytime, so I'm thrilled someone finally did it.
Thank you Perifractic and team, this is the best news I could have possibly got today!
Commodore lives again!
Myth of the Titans progress - almost out of blocks for level 1. I've used a large number for a relief at the top of the temple, but it's worth it for a bit of Greek decoration! #CommodoreAmiga#Amiga#CD32#retrogaming#gamedev@17BitRetro
@TonimanGalvez@speccynostalgia There isn't a hint of techno in the soundtracks so far! It is CD based, but then it is a CD ROM game. Once it's done I might look at converting the soundtracks to chip tunes as an option, we'll see how it goes.
I often watch Charles Cornell on YouYube, with his deep dives into music... but I never thought he'd cover Tim Follin's Spectrum work! Awesome! @_charlescornell#ZXSpectrum

Another enemy added for our Amiga game, Myth of the Titans - a Castlevania Circle of the Moon-inspired Minotaur. This guy is a tank-like enemy #CommodoreAmiga#Amiga#CD32#retrogaming#gamedev
YouTube suggested "Coppenheimer" to me today. An online Amiga emulator with built in visual memory monitoring and some other tricks. Tried it out with a few classic Amiga demos, works great! (link to vid: https://t.co/IfdKeBDfKH ) #amiga#commodore
OutRun on the Amiga. Latest Features:

@falken_cat@speccynostalgia Thanks! @speccynostalgia devised the back-story. Without giving too much away, it's set in mythological Greece after a tragic event which you have to fix! The game style is along the same vein of Castlevania, but with 8 large open scrolling zones (scrolls in all directions).
The Amiga has 2 left sound channels & 2 right, each with 64 volume levels.. but no stereo panning.🙁 I used 1 stereo pair to crudely simulate positional background effects, example here is the waterfall🔊 With CD music this should fill out nicely. (WIP) #amiga@speccynostalgia
@KennyR1899@speccynostalgia Thanks 🙂 A new retro one! Which we are attempting to finish off in our spare time; Myth of the Titans. Making good progress, a lot of tools written to ease the development.
One commonly used game trick of the Amiga's Copper was to create a water area by changing the palette blue on a vertical line. Demonstrated here in our game (WIP). Other tricks may include reversing the bitmap display output to create a reflection effect. #amiga@speccynostalgia
@richardhedderly @dantemendes@speccynostalgia I think the PC version was VGA - 256 colours v the Amiga's 32 (guess)?. So the gradient would just look better, rather than the dithering on the Amiga.
The Copper chip helped define the Amiga, and we've attempted to put it to good use with the time of day mechanic in our Amiga CD32 game (WIP). From *intense* sunrise to late day demonstrated here using the game engine. #cd32#amiga@speccynostalgia
