Nathan Ake: “It’s been a privilege to represent Manchester City over the past six years and I’m so grateful to have been part of a special team. I’ve grown so much here – as a player and person and I’m thankful for the time I’ve had at the club.
"I’ll always cherish the memories, particularly winning the Treble, being part of all four Premier League titles in a side that made history and triumphing in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in my final season at the Club.
"While I’m moving on, I’m very proud of everything we’ve achieved together and City will always be special to me..." [via @ManCity]
has been a key part of our success over the past few years. Whenever he stepped onto the pitch, he always gave everything as well as being hugely dependable for the team. He’s also shown versatile qualities – arriving as a centre-back but excelling at left-back including in our Treble-winning season of 2022/23.
"At the training ground, he was an outstanding, model professional who set high standards for everyone and this has no doubt contributed to the environment we have now at the CFA. We'd like to thank Nathan for his many contributions and wish him the very best in his next chapter..." [via @ManCity]

According to sources close to both Nottingham Forest and #ManCity, Evangelos Marinakis initially wanted a deal for Elliot Anderson worth £126M; £106M plus £20M in easily achievable bonuses, such as playing a certain number of games and winning trophies that Forest considered realistic.
@ManCity preferred add-ons that included winning the #UCL, which Forest refused as they did not feel it was an especially realistic prospect.
At a UEFA dinner before the 2026 #UCL final, #ManCity's Khaldoon Al Mubarak spoke to Evangelos Marinakis about signing Elliot Anderson. Marinakis wanted any deal to exceed the £105M Arsenal spent on Declan Rice in 2023.
@ManCity had been wary that dealing with Marinakis could be tricky, and after the initial discussions with Al Mubarak, the Nottingham Forest owner asked for more money than had been discussed.

🚨🎙️ Lille chairman, Olivier Letang on Ayoub Bouadi's market value:
“When I see Anderson move to Manchester City for £116 million and Tonali to Tottenham for £100 million, and they don't have the potential for development that Ayoub has because he possesses unique qualities... I have a price in mind, and we'll see what happens.” 💰👀
The quality is 100% there, and he'd thrive in a different system. But looking at his stats over the last couple of games, it’s just not convincing enough. Unless Maresca has a concrete blueprint to integrate him, we should look to selling him this summer.
