I downloaded all 12,000 pages of FDNY 9/11 oral history records and some of the testimony is soul destroying. It literally reads like Dante's Inferno. These people were in hell.
The testimony of firefighter John Morabito:
''When I walked through the lobby, there was broken glass everywhere. There were also two people in the lobby: a gentleman who was already burned and was dead, and a female. She was nude. Her clothes had burnt away. Her skin was burnt away. She was still alive. She was trying to communicate. Her eyes were sealed shut. Her throat apparently was sealed. She couldn't really communicate.
Within the next two minutes, she had perished right there. We never actually got her any assistance. We couldn't get her an ambulance, and we didn't get her out of there.''
@MantisRe1igiosa They’ve gone to Jersey, Long Island, CT, Westchester, and Florida as the demographics of the city change. That breed of guy is dwindling RAPIDLY. Will cease to exist in our lifetime
It’s been much remarked upon how the demographics of New York have completely changed, but it’s not just white to non-white, it’s the loss of the native New Yorker. How many salt of the earth people are left with a genuine New Yawk accent and attitude?
Following the collapse of the north tower, perhaps there was a sense of desperate realization that it was all over, which seems to be the case here as hundreds make their way immediately to Ground Zero.
A large piece of the exterior wall from the south tower is spiked into the ground, standing several stories tall.
What could your feelings possibly be at a time like this? Helplessness .. confusion .. for some it was “time to get to work”.
Unfortunately, many thought that there would be an active recovery of life effort. That was not the case. It was silent ..
@HispAnakin@FromConey7980@TomiLahren You will be lucky if there is somebody around who gives enough of a fuck about you to wipe the birdshot off your cheap headstone 20 years after you die. CKs name will join others in the annals of American history
