Wise Owls celebrated World Water Day at @WRDsocal with @JuglifeWater. The students learned about ground water, recycled water, & water conservation. This fun-filled interactive field trip promoted drinking water, giving water, & saving water. @LAschoolsSouth
Students @186thSt celebrated the 20th anniversary of their school’s peace march today. They spread a powerful message of peace and love to their community, and received honks of support from drivers. “Be a peacemaker, not a peace breaker.”☮️

The “Peace March” was celebrated at 186th Street Elementary on Friday for the 19th year in a row. Students marched around the block, holding signs they made for peace, and vowing to be peace makers. The event begins a period of community-service projects at the Gardena school.
The Wise Owl Nation proudly continues to step out for peace to create a legacy of peacemaking. The Peace March was a beautiful celebration of love and peace with community leaders as the students launched their community service learning projects. @LASchools
