Nothing has changed since Henry Nowak.
The system is still stacked against white people.
In Liverpool, a 12-year-old Polish boy was falsely accused of theft by his Nigerian “friends.” Police believed the liars, detained the child, broke his wrist, and threatened his family with pepper spray when they tried to accompany their underage son to the detention centre.
He was completely innocent. The whole accusation was pure revenge.
They fail to protect us.
They betray us.
They hate us.
We the people must demand justice.
There’s a scene from the 1960 film version of The Time Machine that has been haunting my dreams of late.
In the film, the Time Traveller (Rod Taylor) has traveled almost a million years into the future, expecting that when he arrived he would find an advanced civilisation marked by the pursuit of learning. Instead, he finds the Eloi, a race of simple creatures in togas who are bred like cattle, and eaten, by the subterranean Morlocks.
In the film’s most harrowing scene, he’s taken by one of the Eloi to a centuries-old library housing the last books in existence, which crumble to dust in his hands.
“What have you done?” the Time Traveller demands, as the dreams of centuries turn to ash. “Thousands of years of building and rebuilding, creating and recreating! A million years, the sensitive men dying for their dreams, for what? So you can swim, and dance, and play.”
In the last couple weeks I see a lot of men on this platform arguing with a straight face that we should let AI generate our writing for us, that it’s the future, that there’s no fighting it. And I need you all to know that THIS is the ultimate end of a world in which everyone has machines write for them. There will be no more thinking, no more creative expression, no more art or literature. It’s what C. S. Lewis called “the abolition of man.” We will be no different from cattle and our libraries will turn to dust.
When ease and entertainment become the highest good, it’s not shocking that people will find clever ways to avoid work and study. But nor should it be surprising when the ultimate fate of the Eloi becomes our own.
In the year 9 AD, three Roman legions marched into a forest in Germania and never came out.
Their commander, Varus, had been lured in by a man he trusted completely. Arminius was a Germanic chieftain who had served in the Roman army, spoke Latin, held Roman citizenship, and ate at Varus's own table. He told Varus about a small local uprising and offered to guide him through the woods. Varus followed him straight into a trap.
For three days, in rain and mud, the Germans cut the legions apart from the trees. Roughly 20,000 soldiers were slaughtered. Varus fell on his own sword rather than be captured. The survivors were sacrificed on altars or kept as slaves for decades.
When the news reached Rome, the emperor Augustus reportedly stopped shaving, banged his head against the walls of his palace, and cried out, "Quinctilius Varus, give me back my legions!" He mourned it every year until he died.
But here is the part people forget.
What tormented Rome most was not the men. It was three golden eagles.
Every legion carried one. The aquila was a solid metal eagle on a pole, and to a legion it was sacred, almost alive, said to carry the soul of the whole unit. Losing it in battle was the deepest shame a Roman army could suffer. The eagle bearer was expected to die before letting it fall into enemy hands.
Now three of them were hanging in German villages as trophies.
So Rome went hunting.
Six years later the general Germanicus marched back into that forest and found the battlefield untouched. Bleached bones scattered across the ground. Skulls nailed to tree trunks. The altars where Roman officers had been sacrificed still standing. His men buried what was left of their own.
Bit by bit, over more than three decades, Rome tracked the eagles down through hostile territory. The first was recovered around 15 AD, the second soon after, and the third was not brought home until 41 AD, taken back under the emperor Claudius. Thirty-two years to reclaim three metal birds.
And the legions themselves, the 17th, the 18th and the 19th?
Rome never used those numbers again. In an army that reused legion numbers for centuries, those three were quietly erased, as if the units had never existed.
Three eagles. Thirty-two years. And three ghost numbers Rome refused to speak of again.
Pozdrawiam @filipfolczak i dziękuję
Życia by nie starczyło żeby to opisać...
