I'm going to keep this pinned until the #Mets are no longer a dumpster fire and laughing stock of a professional sports team.
In other news, this is never coming down.
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 53 YEARS, THE KNICKS ARE NBA CHAMPIONS 🏆
New York defeats San Antonio 4-1 in the NBA Finals, capturing their third championship in franchise history!
The most predictable part of this is that there was absolutely no acknowledgement from the @LIRR employees. No apology. No explanation. No instructions for stranded commuters. What a joke. 3/3
I shouldn't say that. It stopped at Mineola, but on Track 2. There is no platform for Track 2 at Mineola.
So after a few minutes, thebtrain just... kept on going. 2/
Like, sinxe folks dunking on here seem to be idolizing McDermott post-firing, the blatant misrepresentations they're putting out about this press conference shows that they don't have a fraction of the character or integrity that he does.
This is embarrassing for Buffalo media.
Holy hell the reactions to the Bills presser are mind-blowing. It's almost as if the people firing off takes on here are just trying to give an instant reaction to every sound bite for clicks.
This applies to all y'all. Press, podcasters, everyone. Serious "look at me" energy.
Exactly. National media now trying to put it as a mess for some reason. Click bait? I don't care, not many ppl wanna see the Bills winning and Josh succeeding. External noise doesn't matter.
The Bills just fired their only head coach since the drought. They haven’t had this press conference in ten years. I understand if you thought it was sloppily done or feel trepidation about the future, but this type of spiraling is highly unreasonable.
@kevin_siracuse 1. Did you know multiple things can be true simultaneously?
2. If Pegula didn't say a word after his opening remarks, the story would be that he hung Beane out to dry before the reporters.
3. Yeah, questions driven by a wild narrative pushed by social media and podcasters.
I'm convinced 95% of people commenting on Pegula and Beane's press conference either A) didn't actually watch a second of it or B) watched five-second soundbites. #BillsMafia
A row of reporters all of a sudden asking hard questions. After years of softball questions to McDermott, you can see who they all tied their wagon to.
Was incredible. Never once did McDermott get crushed with “questions that fans are taking about .”
Amazing. Good job Brandon- we got the answers we needed. Now watch.
Beane himself talked about it at the press, never said he didn't want Keon. Terry said he wasn't the top choice at that pick, it was the coaching staff's 1. Decisions always taken as a group, Beane w/ the final say. Some ppl showing their true colors picking what they wanna hear.
That interview just said what many on here have said PRIOR to the 2025 season, when heat shifted from McD to BBB.
If they fired McD the exact same way last offseason, the season before that etc for not getting over the playoff hump, before heat shifted to BBB than more of the fan base would be fine.
Many do not agree BBB should still be here, ok but the owner felt McD hit a
playoff wall after years of not getting it
done. For at least that part only, Pegula isn’t wrong. He made a move that he thought was best to win a Super Bowl in the future. #BillsMafia
You can be upset but man some of y’all are unhinged. Go touch snow. Put your face in it. Breathe. Many of you said that it was Super Bowl or bust. It didn’t happen AGAIN. Josh is turning 30 this year. How much longer do you want to wait? Every year has been ground hogs day.
The Buffalo Bills went from one of the most respected organizations to one of the worst.
They also limited the available coaches willing to Coach here, keeping and promoting Beane.
Every show I have listened to or watched all say the same thing.
They fired the wrong guy
My reaction to today’s presser with Beane and Pegula:
I don’t think today was chaos.
I think it was bad messaging.
Pegula believes the owner is the CEO, the GM runs ops, and the head coach leads daily culture. That framework isn’t crazy.
Josh Allen didn’t need to be consulted. He’ll adapt — that’s who he is.
This wasn’t reactionary. Pegula doesn’t knee-jerk. To him, nine years hit a ceiling.
But the press conference didn’t lead. It explained feelings, not vision.
We wanted clarity and accountability.
We got tension and deflection.
