When unlimited money is pumped into a Premier League club, others have to compete. When the numbers go up, the numbers for everyone go up. That, without doubt, trickles down to increased costs for fans. Transfer fees and wages rise, and the only legitimate source is fans.
City fans can say “you can’t take the memories away from us”, and that’s true. But the last 14 years are equivalent to scoring a great goal in the last minute to win a massive game, then it gets chalked off by VAR. You have the memory of the celebration but it counts for nowt.
For expulsion, the Premier League would have to have a special shareholders meeting, with a vote of 15
A year ago, everyone thought this highly unlikely. The decision involved such strident language, however, that feeling is running high

OLIVER HOLT: Man City have been exposed as the most famous cheats in English sporting history. The gory details revealed by the Premier League leave no doubt - nothing less than relegation will suffice for this sinister, dishonest club https://t.co/BfIv5NPlS9
Fair play for consistency. Colin (Prestwich) has been spectacularly wrong at EVERY stage of City's cheating, from a deluded "UEFA moved the goalposts" piece years ago (made him a folk hero among credulous fan base) to this pearler from just a few days ago.

Pep Guardiola reckons demotion to the lower leagues wouldn't be a problem for Manchester City after their alleged financial rule breaches 🗣

@BackIndeed What is the point of them playing games anymore. It’s so hollow. This season feels like an utter waste of time. I mean imagine they win at Anfield and go 6 clear in the league. How will that feel.
Man City received £949.94m in commercial income from Abu Dhabi sponsors between 2009-2018. Only £119.25m came from sponsors -- the remaining £830.69m were "Tagged Sums" paid by Abu Dhabi United Group (City's owners)
It’s wild, it’s genuinely the biggest scandal in the history of football and maybe even sport overall.
Nothing they did since 2008 counts for anything. Nothing they achieved means anything.
The Serious Fraud Office would be able over any normal Joe's business up to its neck like The Cheats
They should also be moving in on @ManCityCouncil given their crooked Abu Dhabi dealings
Unfortunately, there's little prospect of that with this corrupt chancer 👇 in Downing St
Anybody who didnt know something was amiss was in cuckoo land. So many obvious signs. It's tip of the iceberg too. Can you imagine what Guardiola got to stay there 10 years?
The @premierleague should be referring the entire case to the CPS for criminal charges but especially those witnesses that the Commission accused of knowingly lying. If done so under oath (which I imagine it was) then that’s perjury.
Another terrible night for @ManCity and everyone who loves the club.
But this is not over. The panel is not the end.
I do not see the people I know, the club I love, in this judgement.
See you at Anfield. 🩵
