🚨 UPDATE ON THE JEJU MISSING WOMAN CASE
The case has taken another major turn today.
Police have placed FOUR senior officers from Jeju Western Police Station on standby, including the former police chief, current police chief, criminal investigations chief and missing-persons team leader.
They are now being investigated over possible failures in supervision after a junior officer allegedly falsely closed Jang Mi-ran’s missing-person case.
And the officer at the centre of the scandal is facing a new fight for his freedom.
He was released yesterday after a court accepted his challenge against his emergency detention, but today he appeared in court for a warrant hearing over allegations including dereliction of duty, falsifying official records and obstructing official duties.
Meanwhile, investigators have revealed another disturbing detail about the other missing man whose case the officer allegedly mishandled.
His wife had reported that he had disappeared after leaving home on June 28. The report reportedly indicated that he had financial problems after a failed business, but authorities allegedly failed to respond properly. He was later found dead.
And police are still reviewing ALL 298 missing-person cases handled and closed by this officer to determine whether other cases were also improperly dealt with.
The situation has now gone far beyond one officer.
Four commanders are under investigation, one officer is facing possible arrest, two missing people whose cases he allegedly falsely closed were found dead, and 298 cases are being reviewed.
This story is getting darker by the day.
@ilovekdramatwt South Korean police are NOTORIOUS for ignoring complaints of abuse by women or suspected abuse or kidnapping of women.
If you are not a Korean man, the police have ZERO time for you.
Eskiden “Kürt ayrı pkk ayrı her Kürt pkklı diil” hatta “pkklılar Kürt diil sünnetsiz Ermeni” fln denirdi.
İktidar, ana muhalefet birleşip “Kürt=pkk, bu yüzden pkk muhatap” diyor ve Kürt kamuoyu itiraz etmiyorsa, Zonguldak dahil oluşan halk infiallerinde halkı kim suçlayabilir?
