Former teacher & now self-made water & sanitation expert, Comrade Pemmy “Jou ma se dinges” Majodina says she is putting together something she calls “a response team” for the gastrointestinal outbreak there by that Tshwane dorpie called Bronkhorstspruit.
The reactionary, badass response team will, amongst others, investigate why folk that side opt for the very lethal tap water instead of bottled still water from Woolies.
WATCH | Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina says the City of Tshwane failed to warn Bronkhorstspruit residents that unchlorinated water was unsafe for drinking, cooking, washing or bathing, even after boiling, following the gastrointestinal outbreak.
@penuelist_ Insurance per individual will be unaffordably high which will result in people not paying, which in turn means people will not get compensated for their injuries.
The RAF actually just needs to be run properly
Twenty-four rand, eighty-three cents 💰 R24.83. That’s what diesel cost at the coast in November 2022.
One hundred and twenty-three rand 💰💰💰 R123. That’s what the police paid per litre for a delivery the same month.
Same fuel, same country, about five times the price.

I was sent this visual, it shows the petrol prices across the SADC.

Can people in these countries confirm?
SARS can use AI to track patterns in your spending habits, yet the government can't implement transparent systems and use AI to flag patterns in public procurement spending and the awarding of tenders.
Cool story bro.
The Taxes you pay in South Africa:
1. Fuel levy
2. RAF Levy
3. Electricity surcharges,
4. property rates & taxes
5. Transfer Duty
6. VAT on everything
7. Capital Gains Tax
9. Income tax
Generally, I dont like complaining and whining about paying tax because, well, the government has to run programmes and the money has to come from somewhere.
But im increasingly getting uneasy, not only because this is a bit too much tax, but also because we dont get much in return. Some Europeans pay much more tax than us, but it is in return for free and well-functioning schools, hospitals and transport system.
After all these, I still have to pay medical aid and private school fees for 4 children. Im increasingly getting very edgy about all these.

October, 2026: R30.25
Diesel Prices:
February, 2026: R17:92

Guys, in which world is this sustainable? Since Feb, Diesel has gone up by a staggering R14. Petrol has gone up by R10.
This is not normal. This is not sustainable. Something must give!

@markmywords@GovernmentZA Put that into perspective. That's (very roughly) 12% to 13% of the entire tax revenue collect for 2025. Couple that with other fraud/corruption and incompetence we are being robbed blind. Imagine what SA could do with that money.
More billions lost by @GovernmentZA
The Auditor-General finds SASSA paid R1.33bn to ineligible grant recipients in 2025/26. R211m went to deceased beneficiaries—more than 11 times the R18.6m the year before. Another R266.8m reached government employees already on the payroll.
Payments also went to invalid IDs and GEPF pensioners. Total social grant spend is about R244.5bn a year. The leak continues while databases stay poorly linked and death records update too slowly.
@GovernmentZA is not working for South Africans.
