@Abeona_Semper @TimOnTheTractor The US votes no every year because 1. We don’t like Russia (who proposed it) and 2. We have the first amendment, so we can’t ban nazi stuff like the resolution proposed.
As for the Azov battalion… they fight the Russians, which is why the Ukraine govt accepts them, nothing more
@MSMW1 @TimOnTheTractor The resolution was real. But there’s a simple reason that the US and EU didn’t vote for it: it’s because it was proposed by Russia, and they don’t want to give them any political leverage. Resolutions like this are a political tool, nothing more.
@70Dawood@Aviation_Intel All modern military helicopters are equipped with some sort of countermeasures, be that heat dispersion, LWR, flares, and so on. Additionally it’s highly likely that the Russians are doing suppression of enemy air defense (SEAD) before landing troops.
@fallenigloos@AllezLesBoulez Yeah I had a few bouts of benign positional paroxysmal vertigo a few years back… no rhyme or reason to it, just happened sometimes. Went to the doc and she was like “yeah you got crystals in your ear fluid, lay in your side then roll around some” Hasn’t bothered me in years.
@thesuperslab To quote my farmer aunt “if people paid the real price it costs to produce food, no one would be able to afford to eat”
Our current farming system is so fucked that almost every small farmer is living harvest to harvest even with the enormous subsidies shelled out by the govt
@alizatw@AnarchoDoribi@BeauTFC A great way to find classes is by reaching out to your local fire department/rescue squad. My rescue squad I volunteer for does free community CPR classes quarterly for community members. Even if they don’t do regular classes they will likely be able to point you the right way
@brian_mostrom@BeauTFC@idealjulia7 A needle for? Needle decompressions? Awful idea. My regional EMS council made them medical control only because something like 75% of the ones done in the field were unnecessary and harmful. You’re absolutely right that folks don’t have the training to use them
@zackmcdougall @caustinsims @mainecomrade@LolOverruled Depends entirely on how well insulated your house is and what kind of heating system you have. My old place was old and poorly insulated, our heating bill Dec-feb was routinely $500-600 per month. My current place is very well insulated, and runs us about $45 a month
@TrevorRiel @VNuallain @nytimes@Peter_Nimitz I talked to a guy who has a hunting guide service in central OK, and he said helicopter hunting causes them to spread faster because it fractures social groups and encourages them to disperse. Basically the only way to efficiently kill them is by trapping and poisoning them
@carterforva I had to provide my entire vaccination history to work at My hospital, including getting boosters. Then my ambulance network lost like 6 paramedics who didn’t want to be “forced to be vaccinated”
@Gattaiguy @CarterScreams @Ponk_Konk Some of humanity has psychic potential, and there’s always spaceships flying around and gathering these people up(cause really bad things happen if you don’t gather them)
The more stable psykers get turned into astropaths or battle pskyers, and the rest go to be sacrificed.
