Surely @JohnSwinney existing teachers on fixed contracts need employment (at least by extending contracts, or better still permanent contracts) before bringing in staff "not actively teaching". #teach @EISUnion

@JohnSwinney having just listened to your statement what are the plans for teachers on fixed term contracts ending in june & local authority recruitment is suspended? Surely those teachers need to be utilised as well as & before those on the GTCS register not actively teaching.
