ERC-8426 has been merged into Ethereum’s ERC repository as a Draft standard, allowing ERC-721 NFTs to work as Apple Wallet or Google Wallet passes.

The idea goes beyond displaying a collectible: passes can reflect live on-chain state, send lock-screen alerts and link to on-chain actions, without requiring a dedicated app.

The Developer,huntclubhero has also released an open-source SDK and a working testnet proof of concept.
