It isn't. It is about sex. Because of that other peoples' beliefs about sex and gender come into conflict with it.

As a result of that conflict, those people describe this belief as being critical of *their* views.

@LancsK8 I think medical malpractice is the way to go. The school didn’t want to move ahead with transition but she threatened them with a doctor’s “certificate” produced on request after one brief meeting in which the boy said almost nothing and the mother merely sought reassurance that
