Holy Roller is one of only two such tanks remaining in Canada that survived from the D-Day landings in June 1944 to the end of the war in Europe in 1945.

The #HolyRoller #ShermanTank has four plaques attached to it. Several years ago the plaque from the Dutch Government was replaced and the original is now on display at the #HussarsMuseum.

@lisambrandt @1HHolyRoller I visited its mate after walking the length of Juno Beach from Bernières-sur-Mer to Courselles-sur-Mer. It was fished out of the harbour in 1971, after sinking in the Channel during the landing operations of 1944. So very disrespectful and entirely ignorant of our shared history.
