@pablofindsout@NYCMayor This interview had to be fluff as there was no way Pablo was going to actually press the Mayor. Which is a shame, access is tough, he got it and fumbled it.
@Cary_Bleasdale@EudaimoniaEsq Well, I can say it doesn't matter because in my life it hasn't. Seems like it worked out well for me. My experience isn't yours. If you need to dress a certain way to get a result, that's your life. I built a different one where it doesn't. You can be wrong, it's not a big deal.
@Cary_Bleasdale@EudaimoniaEsq I didn't know Jams were a swimsuit. Not ignoring it, just think it's overblown. I promise I have things I care about that you think are totally stupid and that's ok.
@Cary_Bleasdale@EudaimoniaEsq We just see it different. If someone wants to wear a tux to a beach party, why would I care? Their suit doesn’t impact my ability to have fun. Life’s too serious for some. Something not fitting your definition of right doesn’t make it wrong.
@Cary_Bleasdale@EudaimoniaEsq For sure that can happen. It has been a sticking point for me for a very long time. I’ve never cared what someone wears as long as you’re competent.
I’d argue he does more harm than good when you say anyone on the other side of your belief system is always wrong, about everything. Take a topic you have deep knowledge on and see if you can find the show talking about it. That’s when you realize how woefully ignorant they are on topics but speak with 100% confidence.
You can't make an absolute statement when we're all on the outside. It's never as simple as one thing. It's easy to make Samson the scapegoat forward facing because he won't care and the audience will buy it. No doubt it's a complicated issue with multiple factors. I think anyone could get annoyed in a work environment where 1/4 of the time is spent on political babble vs sports entertainment, which is what most of them signed up for.
If you actually cared about politics you’d do something about. Instead your pour time/effort/energy into sports. People show what they care about with actions vs words. You justify the inaction by thinking speaking into a microphone helps. It might if you didn’t make such ignorant absolute statements.
@jeremytache Dan, a master of words, all of a sudden has none. I can’t stand Jeremy’s politics, but his sports points are excellent. I think most listeners respect the sports opinions of the staff, including Mike, becomes difficult when the politics gets interjected.
@gothburz@LizMacDonaldFOX I will never understand, knowing the metrics, how the costs couldn’t be controlled. The arrogance of assuming something could lose that much and not face closure is wild.
