• At the 2026 World Cup, Tala Rangel has been Mexico’s starting goalkeeper, with Ochoa on the bench.

• Even with Mexico already qualified as group winners, Ochoa did not start the final group-stage match against Czech Republic.

• During the game, the Mexican fans started chanting his name: “OCHOA! OCHOA!”, they wanted him to come on.

• With Mexico winning 2-0 and fully controlling the match, Memo Ochoa finally came on in the 77th minute.
