When I was growing up: I used to read the work of Ray Dalio

I learnt he was a Hedge Fund manager. So I read what a Hedge Fund does. And, since that day: I wanted to run my own fund.

Problem was: that growing up I had no mentors.
Did not have a rich dad.

My parents did the best they could to give me a good education. And, I deeply appreciate that.

So I did everything I possibly could: aced most exams I took, hustled and got jobs at top corporate firms, worked 14-15 hours a day to progress.

When I quit corporate: again, I put in the work to build a YT. Built a few firms along the way. And, continued to invest significant capital in public and private markets.

Now, I run a small fund. And, get to live my dream.

I also look around and see: kids from many rich families, who run Hedge Funds/PE Funds/family office setup in Singapore or Dubai.

With 1 phone, they can get a meeting with a Billionaire.
A thing, I can only dream off. I can't compete with them.

And, honestly: I don't need to.
Life is not competition (all the time).
Life is may progress.

If I look back: where I started from, and the progress I have made. I am happy.

I am happy being small, useful. And, living my life that I created with my hard-work, luck and other people's blessings.

And, for that I am thankful.
