A great number of rural and underserved households now have full high speed internet access thanks to Starlink. You folks in Congress approved money such as the RDOF that was essentially welfare for the telcos to hook up rural folks to high speed internet.

Hardly anyone has actually been hooked up! Meanwhile Starlink has close to ten million subscribers and is profitable despite inventing and launching thousands of satellites! Musk / SpaceX took on all the risk, they should enjoy the rewards!

Despite this, you and others like you would seek to confiscate these rewards because you believe (in your faculty lounge fantasies) you're somehow better at allocating money than Musk is!

Policies like yours all but guarantee the next SpaceX or Tesla would be strangled in the proverbial cradle because you would have confiscated the money Musk used (from PayPal) to create them in the first place.

None of that means the West has to accept immigrants who:

Bring back beheadings! (Belfast)

Form rape gangs (UK)

Push Sharia Law and it's terrible treatment of women (all over).

Are members of transnational gangs that take over apartment complexes (Colorado).

Immigration is not intrinsically good or bad. It depends on the character and culture of who is immigrating and why. Those who want to learn the behavior norms of their new country and contribute should be welcomed. Those that behave like the examples above should not!
