California is the only state in America that still hasn’t repaid its federal UI loan — now over $21 billion and growing.

Instead of using record revenue to pay it down, Sacramento is forcing employers to shoulder the burden through automatic increases in federal unemployment taxes (FUTA). This means higher costs per employee every year the debt remains unpaid.

We’re demanding the Governor allocate real resources to pay off this debt so businesses aren’t punished for Sacramento’s mismanagement.
