@RCEY28 Pretty much everyone in England learns on a stick shift, therefore it cannot take exceptional coordination. If it did, it wouldn’t be achievable by everyone
@renewablesmiffy@janrosenow Which means you have a comparatively rare type of heat pump. The type most people have and which they talk about when they talk about heat pumps for a house is air to water.
@jurgen_nauditt I don’t know the effectiveness of European system but I 100% agree Europe is full of talk but not as good at delivering. How many years have we had? Europe could have a massive production line giving Ukraine everything they want.
@renewablesmiffy Why pretend you don’t understand the problem? Solar and wind are great but unpredictable. If people are willing to spend a fortune on battery storage you could make 100% renewables work, but that’s v expensive.
@juliandc@janrosenow I didn’t mean you are selling, I mean the people selling heat pumps and also the YouTubers. In every field there are YouTube influencers who sell a lifestyle, eg van life. Eco life is another. They make money from being positive. That’s what I’m talking about. 2.1k looks v low!
@juliandc@janrosenow I notice that you didn’t reply about costs. I followed the link and just cannot find how much was spent to get the homes into the shape for a heat pump. Rule 1 in life: when someone selling you says they’re offering a great deal, be very very careful.
@juliandc@janrosenow And take a look at some places eg early 20th century. Lo and behold, lots of insulation etc. I can’t see where those costs are listed. Could you tell me?
@AllisonPearson Yes but we all vote for the ruling class again and again even when given the choice so how can we complain? How did Burnham become and MP? And soon PM!
@juliandc@janrosenow This is why you can’t trust YouTube videos. They are selling you something, and part of that is a positive uplifting message. If that gets clicks, they do it. The truth won’t get them clicks. I don’t need clicks so I can be honest.
