Today, we’re hosting an in-house recruitment for our 100 plus, full-time and part-time recruiters. Our officers are developing the skills necessary to engage, encourage and empower potential candidates to join us and be a part the next generation of 21st century police officers.
Spent the morning @StanfordLaw w/ @losaltospolice Chief Angela Averiett, where we shared about what’s working, what’s not, and the future of policing. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity and were enriched with the deep dialogue with the students.

I would watch her in awe when I was a young girl…then when I became a journalist, I admired her ability to ask tough questions and make candid, brutally honest statements without threatening or provoking her interviewees. They stayed in their chairs and respected her wit.

I am having to ride @SFBART to the San Francisco Airport today Sunday May 8th 7:30pm. I am at North Berkeley Station. There are drug addicts and mentally ill people on the platform. This is not safe for rider. Is anybody doing anything. #bartpolice

SFPD Officer Drewkai Butler breaks in his new Ocean Avenue Foot Beat partner from Ocean Paws. Day’s objective? Spreading Springtime fun and smiles. Apparently, the rookie has a lot of community relations background and is eager to hop right into work. Happy Easter!
