Amb. Olara Otunnu for a stronger United Nations.
I would like to thank H.E. @PaulKagame, @FirstLadyRwanda and my counterpart General Mubarakh Muganga for the very warm welcome our delegation received in Rwanda. We had excellent discussions about our bilateral relations. Uganda-Rwanda relations are stronger and warmer than ever. We thank our two Presidents H.E.@KagutaMuseveni and H.E.@PaulKagame for their enlightened leadership of our two brotherly countries. Murakarama.
I appreciate His Excellency President @KagutaMuseveniโs nomination of Ambassador Dr. Olara Otunnu for the position of @UN Secretary-General. His distinguished record in diplomacy, conflict resolution and the defence of human rights makes him an outstanding candidate to lead a more effective and people-centred United Nations.

The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, this afternoon toured key infrastructure projects in Kigali, including the state-of-the-art King Faisal Hospital Expansion Project.ย The facility, which initially operated with 200 beds, is being expanded to accommodate 400 beds, complete with an ICU, VVIP wings, and a helipad.
Today, I joined Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. @Thomas_Tayebwa, MPs and @MinofHealthUG officials for the annual Malaria Parliamentary Walk. Malaria is the number one killer in Uganda and this walk organized by @Parliament_Ug is aimed at creating awareness on how Ugandans can prevent Malaria.
Let us endeavor to sleep under a mosquito net every night, keep our environment clean and remove mosquito breeding sites, use mosquito repellants and test and treat every fever at the health facility.
UPDATE: UPDF Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has arrived in Kigali for an official working visit. He is expected to hold talks with the Rwanda Defence Force leadership and later meet President Paul Kagame.
