[Brooklyn Heller @brooklyn_mv]

@1aMathieson I learned that we share a lot of DNA with bananas as well as evolution doesn't always make a species better.

[Maggie Ryan Sandford on bluesky as Mandford @Mandford]

For starters, this garbage misinfographic hasn't done us any favors. #evolution

Q8 Be specific!! What 2 things did you learn tonight? #scistuchat

[Brooklyn Heller @brooklyn_mv]

@1aMathieson Evolution is important today because it helps us understand and combat things like superbugs!

[Tez @5dcoleman18]

@1aMathieson so many different fossils have been found over the years #scistuchat

[ashley mathieson @1aMathieson]

Q7 Why is evolution important today? (Or something leading to antibiotic and pesticide resistance?) #scistuchat

[Brooklyn Heller @brooklyn_mv]

@1aMathieson A common misconception about evolution is that humans are not evolving right now.

[Dean Steely @1dsteely18]

@1aMathieson all species came from one of their original species They eventually adapt to their environment so they can survive #scistuchat

[Jeremy Corbett @jeremy117c]

@mspeasmaker @1aMathieson we are 50% related to bananas and 95% related to monkeys

[Jacob Baird @JacobBaird10]

@1aMathieson people think it happens rather quickly

[Shelly @5SDillingham17]

@1aMathieson animals #scistuchat

[Brooklyn Heller @brooklyn_mv]

@1aMathieson We know evolution happens because there is fossil, anatomical, and DNA evidence.

[Jacob Baird @JacobBaird10]

@1aMathieson a scientific theory is backed up by evidence and proof, while a everyday theory Is more like a hypothesis

[Shelly @5SDillingham17]

@1aMathieson A5- scientist have been studying evolution for years,& there is prove that humans are ancestors from some

[ashley mathieson @1aMathieson]

Q6 What are some common evolution misconceptions? #scistuchat

[Brooklyn Heller @brooklyn_mv]

@1aMathieson Many people misunderstand evolution because they think it is very simple, but it is not!
