I made this last night, because this is the most worrying 12 months that I’ve seen in my 15 years as a climate scientist. This is only a small collection of the crazy graphs from this year (part 1 of 2)
1st lecture of the academic year today & it’s on endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in wildlife
Cost to human health has been estimated as high as $350 billion/pa in the US & $250 billion/pa (EU)
Costs to our wildlife (largely unknown) but sewage discharges contain many EDCs
Cruella Braverman today says ‘net zero but not at the expense of the British People’ - it’s so dishonest, an entirely false choice, in effect a lie (done knowingly)…. Net zero will boost our economy, the OBR made it clear last month that sticking with fossils will cost twice as much as the move to renewables. Who are these fools running our country into the ground? - and constantly pointing in the wrong direction….
Looks like curbing herbicide use has become a woke issue. Where will it end? Tackling air pollution to protect human health, acting to slow global heating to prevent catastrophic events? Oh!

Big 4 bank profits were up 700% in first half of this year compared to 2020, so I’ve just asked the Chancellor to introduce a windfall tax on banks’ excess profits, to fund support for households struggling with energy & housing costs
If you agree he should please RT! 🙏
#PFAS chemicals can be found in water, soil, food packaging... And they could be harmful to our body.
Today like many other Europeans, I took a test to measure their level in my blood. We must expand our knowledge, and this is my small step to make it happen.

@GC_Rail can you confirm if the 655 from Bradford to London is running on 15 Dec. I have a ticket booked on it, but seems to no longer come up when you look at timetable that day. Thx
