This evening, we gather to celebrate the life of Steve Moore, who sadly lost his battle with cancer in 2016 at the age of 32. Steve was highly regarded for his contributions during his careers at Wimborne, Poppies, Dorchester, Christchurch and Verwood, and each year, we honour his memory with the Steve Moore Memorial Trophy.

Scott Arnold Wimborne Club Captain said "It’s always great to play this game in memory of my dear friend Morro. Who is missed massively by both our great clubs. I can’t believe 8 years has passed already but he will always be remembered by this great occasion. Looking forward to seeing you all there! Arnie."

For tonight only we will have a BBQ and Beer tonight at the ground so we can raise a drink to a great man.

The VTFC Media team attended Potterne Park on Saturday 22nd June to see the 1st Open Sessions for Verwood Town FC. We managed to get a few words from 1st Team Manager Joe White on the importance of the Open Sessions and the plan for Pre-Season and the future of the team.

These sessions are open to experienced football players who wish to be part of our passionate and amazing club.
