Truth And Lies Once Met…
According to a 19th-century legend, Truth and Lies met one beautiful day.
“What a wonderful day,” said the Lie.
Truth looked around, saw the clear sky, and agreed.
They walked together until they came upon a well.
“The water looks refreshing,” said the Lie. “Let’s swim.”
Truth tested the water and found it pleasant. They undressed and entered the well.
Suddenly, the Lie climbed out, put on Truth’s clothes, and fled.
Furious, Truth emerged and chased after the Lie, hoping to reclaim what was stolen.
But wherever the naked Truth appeared, people turned away in discomfort, shame, or anger.
Heartbroken, Truth returned to the well and hid.
Since that day, the Lie has traveled the world dressed as the Truth…
Because many people would rather accept a comforting lie than face an uncomfortable truth.
The closing sentence expresses the moral of the legend rather than an established fact. As a metaphor, it suggests that appearances and familiar narratives can be more readily accepted than difficult realities.
Keep a close eye on the Japanese Yen (JPY) 🇯🇵
A rapidly strengthening Yen is historically the catalyst for a global market shakeup.
As the "Yen Carry Trade" unwinds, hedge funds get squeezed, dragging down international stocks and tech sectors.

Wall Street's worst nightmare isn't regulation.
It's a GitHub repo.
Kronos. An AI trained from scratch on 12 billion candles from 45 exchanges, and it reads charts as a native language.
The numbers:
- 93% better at ranking price forecasts than the best time-series model that exists
- Zero-shot on any asset it's never seen. BTC, Nvidia, forex, whatever
- 4M parameters at the small end, so it runs on a laptop
- Peer reviewed at AAAI 2026
Banks survived 2008, the fines, the hearings... none of it mattered because the real moat was models nobody else had.
This repo is inside the moat. MIT license, weights on Hugging Face, free.
Star it before your fund manager does.
Ten million people have watched an MIT professor accidentally destroy the executive coaching industry.
He filmed the lecture once in January 2018 and died eighteen months later.
Executive coaches charge fifteen thousand dollars a session to teach a third of what he covered in one hour for free.
His name was Patrick Winston. He ran the MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory from 1972 to 1997 and wrote the AI textbook every computer science major in the world read for thirty years.
Every January for four decades, he gave a lecture called "How to Speak."
His entire framework fits on a napkin.
Do not read. Be in the image. Keep images simple. Eliminate clutter. Start with an empathetic connection. End with a punch line the audience can repeat over dinner. Never open with a joke. Never end with "thank you."
That last rule alone has probably cost the executive coaching industry a hundred million dollars.
"Your success in life will be determined largely by your ability to speak, your ability to write, and the quality of your ideas. In that order."
That is the actual opening line of the lecture. Winston believed it strongly enough to spend fifty years teaching computer scientists how to talk.
Founders spend $80,000 on an MBA and then hire a communications coach to teach them the same material Winston filmed once for free. Engineers write brilliant code and lose promotions to teammates who watched this lecture on the train.
The lecture is free on MIT OpenCourseWare. The textbook is free on his page.
Winston died in 2019. Almost none of the ten million viewers have actually implemented the four rules on the napkin.
The napkin is free. The willingness to actually use it in your next meeting is the entire edge.

Market liquidity appears to be declining.
The G10 Excess Liquidity Leading Indicator has turned negative for the first time since 2024.
This metric compares the rate of money supply growth across G10 economies with the pace of economic growth.
When the money supply grows faster than the economy, there is excess liquidity that can support asset prices.
Historically, this gauge has led the performance of the semiconductor index, $SOX, by roughly 6 months.
If this historical relationship holds, it points to weaker semiconductor stock performance over the coming months.
