@CGeekdom@abaukdiscussion@GraggVaill@NeuroRebel Because @Twitter is a public forum, I must present a contra experience for balance. I managed my child's #ABA#VB program when she was 3. The data I helped record shows that it worked - she went from 3-4 non-word utterances to verbal (100+ words) in 6 mon. She was happy child.

@WSJ I'm not sure why but as I read this I hear the song... "you put your right hand in, you take your right hand out.." song at 0:49 sung by Barney https://t.co/xNKnz7CCRl
Breaking: The CDC restored its guidelines that tiny particles that linger in the air can transmit the coronavirus, weeks after deleting references to their role https://t.co/we7GfIxhBV
@Lollardfish Sadly, I've learned over years my "wins" are for my student only. Sometimes I've witnessed that, instead of more resources for all, they shift resources from another SPED child to my own because I was squeaky wheel. Helpless if other parents cannot be reached or aren't engaged.
HUD’s new rules could result in people w disabilities continuing to be stuck in or forced into institutional settings, or substandard or unsafe housing, or homelessness, instead of a life they choose in the community. https://t.co/oCURLzZm16
@dcpcsb@dcpolicycenter Please consider adding guidance for accommodations for parents with disabilities who are, in turn, supporting @dcpcsb students in distance learning, under Section 504, Section 508. Esp. recognizing when a parent is requesting an accommodation to participate/implement DL.
For parents who have limited ability to support their SPED student in virtual learning, #ABA strategies can help. Ask school about having an #ABA therapist develop an individualized, virtual learning plan that includes needed visuals, modifications & accommodations. @districtaba
@CBSNews Playing with lives of young children of #parentswithdisabilities#parentsofcolor. The #COVID19 narratives of high risk parents are the most compelling @CDCgov. Who will care for their vulnerable young children if they get really sick or die? They need truth about #COVID19.
@usedgov wants parents to work with educators to comply with Section 504/ADA to meet needs of their students with disabilities https://t.co/VxBrc8JSia. It should also support schools accommodating PARENTS WITH disabilities under same laws so they can do so. @NDRNadvocates@dcpcsb
Virtual classes are aggravating disparities, with widening divides in access to supplies, workspace and parental guidance. The problem is especially acute for children with #disabilities. https://t.co/okXjapSuXx #specialneeds#SpecialEducation
@PeteGordon68 Clothes on skin could feel "itchy". Large body research on N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC), a vitamin supplement, helping OCD. My child had sensory processing, skin issue, her psychiatrist Rx'd NAC. Took 2 months for results. Now she doesn't complain & behaviors stopped after 8 yrs.
For the first time, movies will have to meet inclusion standards in order to contend for best picture at the #Oscars and disability representation is a significant piece of the puzzle. https://t.co/KDnbZzs9hy #disabilities#specialneeds#AcademyAwards
