@NoOneUnscripted@tribelaw Maybe drafters of 1878’s 14th A’s not-OCD-enough language originally intended to shield Andrew Johnson, southern-leaning successor to Lincoln (who nevertheless got impeached in 1878)? Maybe drafters figured we future citizens would have common sense enough to include presidents?
BREAKING: YES! Democrats discover the PERFECT excuse to demolish Trump's hideous White House ballroom once he's gone — and there's nothing he can do about it!
This is exactly the kind of thing that we've been looking for...
A stunning new report from The Washington Post revealed that Trump repeatedly clashed with James McCrery II, the first architect to work on the ballroom project, over safety issues last year. McCrery ultimately resigned from the project.
According to "two people with knowledge of the discussions and corroborating documents," Trump insisted on design features that McCrery feared would violate building safety codes. Ironically, "safety concerns" are what Trump and his MAGA minions on Board of Trustees have used to justify their shutdown of the Kennedy Center.
The documents, which include Sharpie-marked images, also revealed that Trump is "deeply involved" in the details of the project. In other words, if anyone gets hurt in this building due to code violations, he will be directly to blame.
Before he left the project, McCrery sounded the alarm over and over again to Trump that his designs lacked an adequate number of emergency exit routes and fire-containment measures. The President seemingly didn't care if proper steps were taken to prevent a kitchen fire from "rapidly" spreading into the event space. There also weren't enough toilets to match the building's maximum occupancy.
“I am the code,” Trump said as a way of brushing off the concerns.
In September 2025, White House officials convened to review the ballroom design and to discuss "areas of concern” that had been voiced by the contractors.
“Life safety — big concern,” the notes read.
Under the law, any renovations and construction performed at the White House must comply with national building safety codes to the “maximum extent feasible,” unless there are national security concerns at play. Doubtless, Trump will claim that his design choices were rooted in such concerns, but it's a transparently false insistence that would never stand up in court. This isn't about national security. It's about vanity.
The simple truth is that this ballroom should have never been built. It's deeply unpopular with the American people, will cost hundreds of millions of dollars, and Trump's awful, gaudy taste clashes with the more simplistic aesthetic of the original White House.
When Democrats retake power, we need to bring the wrecking ball in on day one. Not only is this ballroom a monument to a pedophiliac war criminal's ego, it now seems that it's unsafe to even use. Democrats should cite safety concerns and knock it down.
Or screw it, don't give an excuse at all and just tear the damn thing down. If it was built without congressional approval, it can be destroyed without it.
Please ❤️ and share if you support demolishing the ballroom!
🚨 SECRET CONGRESSIONAL MEETING: Just a few hours ago, Congress held special secret commission meeting away from the public’s eye to cut your Social Security.
WE. TOLD. YOU. SO.
Bless this man for blowing the 😗
@atrupar Ideally, you want one of the dumbest people on earth and the Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to be two different people.
@atrupar Two words, Rick Scott. That dude stole a lot of money from it and Florida elected him for it. It is not the program, the Florida GOP is extremely corrupt.
@atrupar Being healthy is fraud now?!
Strange how they're saving all this money by cutting people off health-care insurance, food stamps, school lunch programs but still added $4T to the National Debt to give tax cuts to the rich!
@atrupar Ah yes, Dr. Oz math: where 4.2 million Florida enrollees somehow outnumber 23 million residents, and buying insurance you hope to never use is a brand-new, baffling concept. Wait until he hears how car insurance works!
Not just a snake oil salesman. A serial liar. People who don't use their insurance are healthy, paying into the risk pool to keep rates lower for others.
Teenage girls and young women were sexually exploited at Midtown group (FCC Brenden Carr was a member) and were "coerced and pressured" into having sex with multiple men, sometimes decades older than them in what could be described as sex trafficking. https://t.co/RKwHWVBwzf
Sen. Curtis of Utah has suggested that Don Jr. and I should testify before Congress.
I say bring it on. I've already given more than seven hours of sworn testimony. More than three dozen witnesses testified across two chambers.
I had no foreign business dealings while my father was president. None. I painted paintings, and I still do.
I'll sit next to Don Jr. and testify any time, any place. Eric and Jared can join us too. No need for a subpoena. Let's all do it tomorrow.
MORE CORRUPTION. Here’s how it works:
The Trump administration is backing mining projects with billions in potential federal financing.
Trump’s sons have investments tied to one. A firm run by Commerce Secretary Lutnick’s sons helped raise money for another.
It's the meme coin playbook, except the taxpayers are on the hook for billions: if the projects fail, taxpayers eat the loss while the sons and their firms keep their earnings.
Trump EPA head Lee Zeldin went on Twitter to brag about killing a $7 billion solar program for lower-income homes. How a federal judge just made him eat his words and legally shredded his entire scheme: https://t.co/9J4AmsqNwU
Honestly, if 214 House Republicans won't stand up for girls who could have been your own daughter, sister, or granddaughter, abused by powerful men, what exactly do you stand for? Why are you even in public office?
Speaker Johnson, you specifically sent the House home two weeks early to keep the discharge petition from getting its final signatures before the midterms. Why and who are you protecting?
Epstein survivors have publicly described horrific abuse inflicted on them when they were children and have urged Congress to release the records.
Speaking out takes courage. You turning your back on them is definition of cowardice.
Only four House Republicans, Thomas Massie, Nancy Mace, Ralph Norman, and Brian Fitzpatrick, had signed the new petition. The other 214 had not.
Lauren Boebert signed the original 2025 Epstein-files discharge petition. As of the latest reporting, she has not signed this newer one.
The Libertarian Party of New Hampshire has called for the assassination of every elected Democrat in the state on their official social media account just before telling voters to choose GOP.
In normal times, this would be front page news and treated as a terrorist threat by law enforcement.
This is insider trading.

If you were caught doing this, you could face up to 20 years in prison.
When Donald Trump does this, Republicans just pretend it never happened.

Then there’s this about JD: https://t.co/UwQ1Q50tAJ
There’s nothing inherently wrong with drag. We love our #LGBTQIA brethren. And those who dress up for Halloween.
What’s wrong? JD Vance attempting to smear @jamestalarico with something that JD himself has demonstrably done.
