I'm not sure the women out there fully understand the gravity of the argument they are making.

If you can't be held accountable for murdering your kids because you had postpartum depression, then it naturally has to follow that if you are diagnosed with postpartum depression, you should lose the custody of your children.

She PLANNED to kill her children. She methodically researched and sent her husband away.
There was no “psychotic break” with reality. There was no “voice.”

In the case of Lindsey Clancy, two things can be true at the same time: she can be mentally ill and still be guilty of murder.
After all, aren’t most serial killers considered mentally ill in some way?

For the sake of all the children who have been killed or abused by their parents, and to help protect children in the future, she should serve as a clear warning to other unstable mothers.

The next time someone in that position hears voices or feels the urge to harm their kids, they should leave their children and their home rather than take innocent lives.
My personal opinion may not matter, and I don’t claim to understand the law, but I believe she should be found guilty of murder and punished accordingly.
