There needs to be a huge focus on defense in 2k26. A complete overhaul and skill based system. You could fix two problems with this. It should be very hard to get open but when you do, you can knock them down at a very high percentage. Right now you can shoot lights out but it’s too easy to be considered “open”. Most shots should be lightly contested just like in the real NBA. Stop formulating the game and “good shots” around open shots. I understand you’re trying to make open shots where defenders are near but it’s not working.

This is just incorrect so you’re obviously not “good enough”. You can shoot lights out. It’s too easy now. What they need to fix is how some jump shots are mechanically better. It shouldn’t matter as long as you’re timing them correctly.

Yall will complain you can’t shoot unrealistically then complain 2K isn’t realistic.
