Centralized currency has been the greatest wealth creator in the history of mankind, that is an outright fact. We went from living in caves and dying at 45 years old to living like kings. The average poor person lives better than the richest king from pre-centralized currency.
If you chart prosperity growth it went from .1% YoY growth to 3% YoY
I do understand that it has helped wealth people more than poor people, but overall it has increased wealth for everyone

I worked for a private consulting firm with ~50 people with large retirement accounts. The year was ~2012.
We had one of the "top" management firms in California come to our office to talk with us, he specifically told everyone to NOT buy Facebook at $17 and that the company would not make it after it's 50% decline from IPO.
That's a true story!
