@CavaliereGiu@JEconometrics@michae1jansson@PaulaAureo I follow you both here and on LinkedIn and I think most of the posts I've saved for later are your reviews of econometric topics. Thank you for your good work!
Hey @TrustieSupport, today I have found about 40 fake companies with legitimate-looking sites that are selling things on instagram/social media platforms. How can I report all of them at same time without writing individual reports? Is there someone I can reach out to?
@TrustieSupport It is not about your platform, really - it is mostly about a large network of copycat websites that send poor quality products/not send things at all. They operate as if they are different companies, but all of them are registered to the same company in the UK
@_ToFeWe If you need Cournot there are a couple of other papers as well - for example, "Collusion and Bargaining in asymmetric Cournot Duopoly" by
Fischer and Normann. I also did a pilot study like this for my thesis recently
@_ToFeWe There are several literature reviews that may contain more papers:
Christoph Engel (2015) - Tacit collusion: The neglected experimental evidence
Haan, M. A., Schoonbeek, L., and Winkel, B. M. (2009). Experimental results on collusion.
@_ToFeWe The problem is that just doing Bertrand Duopoly supergames isn't interesting enough for publication, so you will inadvertently get something extra as treatment. For example, the following paper uses Bertrand supergames https://t.co/BbwyTxW5I1
@vanessainstem If you are looking for $ (as opposed to $$$$), you can join https://t.co/BEdAjAf1y5 and be a participant in social science experiments! Honestly though - try looking for a position in EU
@ShengwuLi Absolutely fair - and you are right, “apply” is certainly not the best choice of a word! Was just a bit confused by the paper (very interesting though!)
@ShengwuLi It is so hard to keep up with all new possible solution concepts in BGT! Is it possible to describe a game to you and ask which one applies? 🙃
@ChelseaParlett There is a work-in-progress by @MaxvLent that uses a similar approach in the field experiment to study the impact of creative abilities of study peers on academic achievement!
Hi #EconTwitter!
If you're an applied economist, keep your eyes 👀 peeled for @JEconometrics's "𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨" papers 📚:
- Cluster robust inference (@jgmQED et al);
- instrument strength in IV (Keane & Neal)
- Diff-in-diff #Econometrics (@jondr44 et al)
Stay tuned for more! 📻
