@punk6529 Agree with every point, but picture seems incomplete without accounting for economic power over other states (as seen with China, US etc) similar to National Defense shoring up against physical threats, there are capital ways to entrench power relative to other nations. π€
@punk6529 Agree on potential age if wonder for those with the advantage on the Exponential Curve. But it won't be equally distributed across the globe... Won't there be severe losers?
@DAVIDMAPENZAUS1@WIRED MC Hammer actually became an ordained minister, even had a TV show on a Christian channel a while back π https://t.co/nfJ9Rk7H0f
@PlasticRaptor @balajis No one who has spent mor than 5 minutes in the space or CompSci would understand that, which is why it's so confusing to me that @balajis is stating it this way. He's been around the industry enough to have a mental model of what's going on.
@unicmetaverse@giaglis@punk6529 Is it possible to enroll in this as a pseudonymous identity? (e.g. Could @punk6529 enroll and complete without disclosing his real name?)
@cryptod001 @punk6529 Ukraine may be too big of a security risk. EU will give 'we feel bad for you' status, but not membership. Belarus in Russia's pocket. If China becomes strong enough economic influence in Hungary, Hungary may leave but will be the gateway between EU and East.
@sama Brain machine interfaces transforming the idea of languages. Kids will learn how to communicate and bypass verbal language. Will use conceptual language primitives for much higher bandwidth communication. Will leave us in the dust.
@punk6529 Good luck getting Web3 custodians to adopt that language.'Account' is TradFi lang (which is why it's accurate).'Account' isn't Web3 branding.Would've been good, but unfortunately that ship has sailed unless all Centralized services will ALSO offer true wallets (and differentiate)
@punk6529@balajis Do you have a thread on how to securely create a pseudo identity? When is it worth creating 2? (Say, if two of my passion causes have proponents at odds with each other?)
@punk6529 If money is the database, and the economy is the goods & services, then how would you think about defining the labor and time spent? How about the organizing principles of labor and time spent? Is that not also a part of the economy? How to define these roles in the economy?
@punk6529 Tucked in a file cabinet in an office somewhere. Not security through obscurity, but close. Security through bureaucracy and physical obstacles? Security through non-digitally-reproducable processes? Needs a good name. Good for small transactions. Or sufficiently large ones.
@punk6529 Been thinking bout this. The difficulty in replacing physsigs is 2fold: 1) legacy processes and thinking and 2) the function of a physsig isn't in the provability of the source of the sig but rather that it's tied to other ink (contract) via paper atoms in space. guarded by locks
