We’re deeply saddened by the death of Our Patron, HM The Queen. A dedicated supporter of Scouts, Her Majesty has been a peerless role model for our young people.
Our thoughts are with the Royal Family.

After 10 years as 1st Workington's Scout Leader I'm handing over my whistle (in a Covid safe way) to a new Scout Leader, who'll be ably supported by my assistant (and initially by my former assistant, our Group Scout Leader).
So long and thanks for all the fish 😉
"Oh, how can I put into words the joys of a walk over country such as this; the scenes that delight the eyes, the blessed peace of mind, the sheer exuberance which fills your soul as you tread the firm turf? This is something to be lived, not read about." A. Wainwright
On this day 70 years ago the #LakeDistrict was designated a National Park🏞️ Home to flourishing wildlife, thriving communities and spectacular landscapes, loved by millions and cared for by many, we have shared some of our achievements here #LakeDistrict70 https://t.co/b0L8DP26B9
We'd love you to join us to make another camp donut, this time over an open fire. If Cumbria is too far away I'm sure your local Scout Group will oblige.
Tomorrow is Founder’s Day where we’re asking everyone to #ThankTwo people in @CumbriaScouts for all they have done / do for @UKScouting, particularly over the past year. We’d love you to share your stories of amazing people involved in Scouting on social media. #CumbriaScouts
Happy Lunar New Year to our members, families, supporters and community.
Year of the Ox 🐂
We know some of you would like to celebrating elsewhere and hope you can do that again soon.
