The passing of Toriyama is still quite sad but the franchise as a whole is just in this weird spot where it can’t shake off the feeling that it shouldn’t really continue with new material. Regardless if its Japan or US side of things, everything feels somewhat half assed
The decisions for the dub of Dragonball series post Kai have always been questionable. They don’t just go full out from Kai’s direction but make these odd half steps backwards. Granted I wasn’t interested in Daima to begin with but now I got even less reason to see it in.
Ace Attorney Investigations and Metroid Prime 4. Amazing. I wonder if the trailer for MP4 is using the new console’s tech since this game looks really good, like beyond the switch capabilities
This is the best time to get into the series if you haven’t, you can get Ace Attorney 1-6, and the Great Ace Attorney on pretty much all major platforms. Only things missing is Miles Edgeworth Investigations but I wouldn’t be surprised if this comes sometime down the road
Just finished Ace Attorney Apollo Justice Trilogy (Ace Attorney 4-6) and really enjoyed it. The only game I had previously played from this collection was 4 forever ago, so 5 and 6 were new to me since I didn’t play them on the 3DS. I love this series and having two…
…games I never played before made this a fresh experience. I know there’s a strong indicator from old leaks that Ace Attorney 7 is in the works and after playing 6, I cannot wait to see what it is. Highly recommend.
One Piece animation getting a remake that won’t have any sort of filler was something I was never expecting. Very happy about it. It might make my personal recut project obsolete (just for myself, somewhat Kai style) but I’m cool with that depending on how they pull it off
I just don’t see the point in doing a recast. It’s up to Netflix but seems way easier to get the Crunchyroll cast, who have been working on the series 10+ years than to get a bunch of new people. They earned their spots forever.
Sorry for the lack of any new art from me. Been having a rough couple of years. I don’t think I’ll be doing Inktober this year. Art will come back, just not sure when.
Do I recommend? Hard to say. I've watched One Piece for nearly 20 years (god I am old) so I'm very close to this but if you're not, give it a shot? I'd still recommend the manga over this. Same with the anime, even tho the anime has some faults too but still better.
Finished watching the "One Piece Live Action" adaptation. It's...decent? Probably a step down from even that. It's not bad but it's not very good either. First off the costume designs are pretty excellent, they did a good job translating the world into Live Action (LA)
Also, maybe less straying. As mentioned before, not expecting a 1:1, but maybe more "that's interesting" and less "that isn't as good" Comparisons should be more fun, less "ugh its so weak/bad"
